Trader Joe’s recalled multiple lots of some cashews over concerns of salmonella contamination, according to a Monday recall notice, several weeks after the supermarket chain recalled more than 61,000 pounds of its chicken soup dumplings.

According to an FDA recall notice from Wenders LLC, an India-based cashew exporter, four lots of Trader Joe’s “50% Less Sodium Roasted & Salted Whole Cashews” are being recalled for potential salmonella contamination, after FDA testing revealed “at least one of the recalled lots” tested positive for the bacteria’s presence.
The potentially affected products can be identified by the country of origin, SKU number (37884) or lot numbers T12139, T12140, T12141 and T12142.
The potentially contaminated lots were sold at Trader Joe’s locations in Alabama, Arkansas, Arizona, California, Colorado, Idaho, Kansas, Louisiana, New Mexico, Nevada, Oklahoma, Oregon, Tennessee, Texas, Utah and Washington.
No illnesses have been reported, according to the recall notice.
Trader Joe’s confirmed the recall on Sunday, and customers are encouraged to return affected products at place of purchase for a full refund.

Salmonella is a bacteria that can cause an illness—dubbed salmonellosis—marked by gastrointestinal symptoms and fever, according to the FDA. The most common symptoms, according to the agency, are diarrhea, abdominal cramps and fever. Severe symptoms include lethargy, blood in urine or stool and even death, the agency says. Young children, people with compromised immune systems and the elderly are at the highest risk for severe infection.
